Occlutech PLD Paravalvular leak occluder
The Occlutech PLD device is designed to specifically meet the needs in paravalvular leak closure. The design of the device allows alignment over the leak and therefore the ability to achieve complete closure. The device can be delivered from various routes (transapical and transfemoral) using relatively small delivery catheters. Clinical cases carried out to date, demonstrate the versatility of the device. In both mitral and aortic cases, a rectangular shape device is important to cover a crescent shape defect while avoiding interference with the valve. A square shaped device with a round waist is also available. The presence of gold markers in the device enhances visibility and allows accurate deployment and deployment acrossthe defect.
